Adventure by Jeep and Trekking in Pamirs.

Day 1/ DUSHANBE - KHALIKUM

Transfer from Dushanbe to Kalaikum through Kulob .Excellent views on the way. We will stop for photos shooting. Visit of Hulbuk, 10the century Silk Road building. Breathtaking landscape along the Panj river (Amu Darya). Across the river lies Afghanistan. We will drive along the river, having picnic in the pristine nature. Overnight in homestay in Kalaikum, meals (LD)

Day 2/ KHALIKUM - KHOROG

Drive to Khorog along the Panj river. After Vanj valley we will enter into the Pamir region. On the way, you will see many different villages. Views of the valley are amazing. Lunch in a Chaikana, local tea houses. Overnight in a traditional Pamiri house, Meals (BLD)  

Day 3/ KHOROG - YAMG

Continue to Ishkashim. On the way stop for hot springs at Garm-e-Chasma. After that, we reach the mouth of the Wakhan River valley. This is where the 19th century Great Game ended, between the Russian and British empires. From here, the road continues up along the north side of the river. There are amazing views of the Pamirs to the left and the Hindu Kush to the right. We will stop along the way for a scenic picnic. Overnight in GuesthouseMeals (BLD)  

Day 4/ YAMG - LANGAR

Early morning we drive along the Wakhan Corridor from Ishkashim to Langar. We will admire the Khakha Fortress, dating from the third century BC and rising from a platform of natural rock. Just 300m further on is the interesting Ismaili mazar (tomb) of Shah-i-Mardan Hazrati Ali. After that, we move to next Zoroastrian "Fortress of Fire Worshippers". Further up the hillside, there is the hot springs at Bibi Fatima: minerals and very salty, the water at Bibi Fatima is crystal clear. There are several places of interest to stop. Above the village of Vrang, on a cliff-side pitted with caves, stands a Buddhist complex dating from 4th-7th centuries. At Yamg, visit the reconstructed home of Sufi mystic Muabara Kadam, who died in 1910. Near his house, there is a stone pillar with a hole, in which he used to calculate a solar calendar. In the cool of the morning, we climb up above Langar village to see the petroglyphs. Overnight in home stay. Meals (BLD)  

Day 5/ LANGAR - BACHOR

Drive from Langar to Bachor over the Khargush pass (4344m), than Koitezek pass (4271m). These barren landscapes are beautiful. It is like typical western desert and canyons. After the pass will visit Jilandy hot spring, than drive to Bachor. It is a small village, far from town. Few people live in Bachor village. These communities live in incredible location or valley. They are settled farmers with few farming activity. Local people are very friendly and the lifestyle is incredibly simple and harmonious with nature. If there is a place to escape your technologically advanced world, it will certainly be Bachor. Overnight local home stay in Bachor village. Meals (BLD)  

Day 6/ TREK (from 2800m to 3400m)

Morning we start walking from Bachor to Chabdar. The valley is beautiful. The path is not too rough but smooth. It slowly goes up from 2000 meters up to 3000 of elevation. It is better to star trekking from Bachor because the village located in lower elevation. Thus, as we hike we will start acclimatizing. Overnight in tent. Meals (BLD)  

Day 7/ Trek (3400m to 3700m)

Morning start walking from Chabdar valley to Marjanay Jailoo (summer pasture) along the Yashil kul lakes. As we trek up the landscape changes from law land to high land, where the collars of lands pace changes into deserting. However, it is beautiful and so silent. You will not hear any noise except natural sounds of wild life.     Overnight in tent, Meals (BLD)  

Day 8/ Trek (3700m to 3800m)

Morning walking from Yashil kul lake to Bulunkul lake, ride or even walk along both lakes. Visit some prehistoric stone circles, old caravan sarais, and an early Islamic mausoleum, than after picnic we will cross the Alichor river, than continue to Alichor village. You might be wondering why visit settled villages. Even though the landscape is beautiful or nature is nice, there is high domination of nature and wildness in the region. Therefore, despite, simple services network staying close to villages provides better management of tourisms for logistics.

Day 9/ ALICHUR- BASHGUMBEZ

From Alichor, small settled village of nomadic Kyrgyz, we continue our trip by jeep on Pamir Highway to Bashgumbez village. The terrain here is desolate but grandiose. But the valley is nice. There are many summer pastures where nomadic Kyrgyz graze their livestock. On the way, we will visit Akbalik holy lake. This is holly for the people living around the area. After we visit Bashgumbes village,9 km from the main road, where you will see very old China's tomb. Overnight in the yurt in Bash gumbez, Meals (BLD)  

Day 10/ Trekking 3900 m till 4200m, CROSS PASS 4500m

We start second TREK

From Bashgumbez Village (3900m) to Akzoo lake, on the way will cross the pass KaraSeky ( 4500m), very beautifull view of the mountains. Donkey will carry luggage. On the way will see marmots , picknick. Overnight in yurt or tent. You will see really nomadic Kyrgyz Meals (BLD)  

Day 11/TREK

Morning we will start trekking to Keng shiber (4100m),summer pasture. Local people don’t have maps here but these names like Keng shiber helps them to orient themselves better. On the way will see Yaks, sheep and typical Eastern Pamir’s nomadic lifestyle. View of the valley is wonderful and you will meet local peoples. Overnight in yurt or Yurt, (4125m) Meals (BLD)  

Day 12/ TREK

Morning we start trekking to Zorkul lake through Belairyk valley, we will use the Yaks for the luggage, on the way we will cross the pass Bel-Airik, (5015m). We will see Marco Polo sheep along the way. This place is extremely high but it is worth to organize yak trek. From the pass great view of the lake from the above. It is spectacular. Overnight in tent Meals (BLD)  

Day 13/ TREK

Morning we will start trekking to Kara-Jilga (4000m) summer pasture. This is where many local communities of farmers from Murgab and Kono Kurgan village come for (jailoo) summer pasture. These areas are highly protected by the Zor Kul National. Today these areas are only place where Marco Polo (Ovis Poli) sheep still live in freedom. It is lovely to see them. On the way we will see Kok-Jigit Lake. Overnight in Yurt. Meals (BLD)  

Day 14/TREK

Morning we start trekking to Aiding Kol lake (4200m) very amazing views. After lunch we go to Jarty-Gumbez hot springs will take a swim in Gartigumbez hot springs. Overnight in nomadic Kyrgyz yurt (4130m), Meals (BLD)  

Day 15/ JARTY GUMBEZ - SHAYMAK

Drive fro Jarty Gumbez to Shaimak, overnight in home stay, Meals (BLD)

Day 16/ SHAYMAK - MURGHAB

Drive from Sahimak to Murghab, on the way will see the Chinas site big mountain Muztak-Ata 7000m, overnight home stay in Murghab(BLD)

Day 17/ MURGHAB – KARA KUL LAKE

Drive fromMurghab to Karakul lake (3914 north over Akbaital pass (4655). The Kara kul lake is highest salted lake in Central Asia Highest point of the journey, Little walk around. Overnight in homestay Kara kul village. Meals (BLD)  

Day 18/ KARA KUL ALKE – LENIN PEAK – SARY MOGOL

Drive t from Karakul lake to Sark mogol village near the Lenin peak 7000m, view of the Alay range is so beautiful, over the Kyzyl-Art Pass (4282m) to the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Look behind you here for a stunning panorama of the Pamir Alai range. Overnight in tent in the Lenin Peak Meals (BLD)  

Day 19/ SARY MOGOL - OSH

Drive from Sary Mogol to Osh, on the way will see many Kyrgyz villages. You may drink Kyrgyz traditional KIMIZ. Overnight in guesthouse in Osh Meals (BLD)
